Papua (formerly Irian Jaya) is Indonesia’s largest and eastern most province and the western half of the world’s second largest island, New Guinea. It has some of the most impenetrable jungles in the world and snow capped mountain peaks towering over glacial lakes. Papua is home to a number of indigeous tribes. Including the Dani and Korowai, who still continue to live much as they have for thousands of years.
